I have had the pleasure of knowing Connie for some 10 years, and I have always been impressed by her intelligence, work ethic, and commitment to education. When I found myself facing a career crossroad earlier this year, the decision to reach out to her to discuss options was a no-brainer.
In our conversations, Connie listened attentively and really tried to get at the values and traits that motivate me and that lead me to find certain kinds of work to be fulfilling. Simply saying those things out loud was a big help. Connie also did a wonderful job in helping me identify talents, colleagues, and contacts who could be helpful to figuring out next steps. I have left all of our conversations feeling listened to and prepared to move forward in tangible, manageable ways.

I had a free session with Ms. Ma during the summer of 2025 as a rising college sophomore at Wellesley College. Our discussion was incredibly thorough, ranging from possible new majors to potential career opportunities as an international student in the U.S. One of the most valuable aspects of our conversation was how she helped me reaffirm my values and shape clear paths toward my ultimate outcome and dream.
At the time, I was struggling with a common internal conflict: should I prioritize career over major, or major over career? Ms. Ma helped me realize that I don’t have to choose one over the other. I can pursue both. She urged me to try new things and helped me challenge the little voice inside that often dissuades me from taking bold steps.
One moment that especially stood out was when we discussed the doubts I had about entering a new major and the challenges I anticipated. She asked me, “What would your best friend say?” That simple question helped me shift perspective and approach my self-doubt with more compassion and clarity.
Overall, it was not only just a conversation from mentor to mentee, but also as a genuine, encouraging connection. I walked away with more clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of direction.

As I am currently preparing for graduate school applications in the United States, I find myself at a stage where I need to reflect more deeply on my career planning. Throughout this process, I’ve had many questions I hoped to clarify. By chance, I came across Connie. After hearing her introduction to her platform, I decided to give myself an opportunity to explore different perspectives and scheduled a free initial consultation with her.
Connie was incredibly sincere. Although the complimentary session was originally set for 30 minutes, she generously spent nearly an hour discussing things with me in depth. During the conversation, she was exceptionally skilled at guiding my thinking, helping me uncover insights I hadn’t previously considered. She also offered objective and thoughtful feedback, which helped me avoid getting trapped in my own biases and encouraged me to view my plans from a broader perspective. I truly found my conversation with Connie to be immensely valuable.

My one-hour session with Connie was incredibly helpful in guiding me through a period of uncertainty in my job search. As a recent graduate navigating a tough macroeconomic environment and the rapid advancement of AI, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure of where to focus. Connie created a thoughtful space for me to reflect on my journey so far and helped me better understand both my strengths and the direction I want to pursue in energy and finance. Her ability to listen deeply and ask the right questions gave me clarity on how to position myself moving forward.
What stood out most was Connie’s ability to turn broad career ambitions into tangible next steps. She offered the kind of clarity and encouragement that helped me shift my mindset from feeling stuck to feeling empowered. I left our conversation with the belief that I have the potential to take the next step forward.

I came across Career Camp through a friend's referral, and joining the call I booked with Ms. Ma turned out to be a life changing decision. It gave me clarity and structure in how I approach transitions, not only in college, but also in life.
Ms. Ma guided me through how to start coffee chats, gave me real world insightful advice on what resources to lean into, and discussed with me on how to begin monetizing the skills I already had. Most importantly, she shared systems and methods that helped me navigate day to day tasks without overwhelming myself as I move forward with intention.
As a career coach, Ms. Ma asked questions that weren't just "right". They were extremely intuitive and hit the core of what I needed. One single call with her gave me more clarity than months of trying to figure out things alone. (definitely better than endless trial and error).
She genuinely made sure all of my needs were addressed as we even went over time. I'm so grateful for her extra efforts and the time she took as it gave me a true jumpboard to take off from. Whether she was simply listening to my stories or holding space for me to share, I left feeling more grounded, prepared, and supported than I've felt in a long time.
Career Camp is THE resource I've been looking for for quite a while. And I am so grateful I found it. If you are searching for a mentor or simply want more clarity and need some direction, Career Camp is for you!

You gave me your time so generously and without asking for anything in return. You even went beyond the time we originally planned, which I really appreciated. I also felt genuinely comfortable opening up to you, which is rare when talking about career paths and the future. At this age, those topics can feel overwhelming, but you helped make it feel okay to not have it all figured out yet.
One of the most valuable things I took away from our session was the reminder to be intentional in how I approach my learning journey. You helped me realize the importance of pausing to ask myself how I feel about the things I do, and what they mean to me. The Career Decision-Making Cycle you shared gave me a clear framework I know I’ll come back to and apply.
Honestly, if I wasn’t about to start such a demanding school year, I would have loved to continue working with you. I really felt seen and supported in our session.

Scheduling a discovery call with Ms. Ma gave me more clarity in 30 minutes than I’ve gotten from months of job searching. As someone entering my senior year with a broad set of interests, from business analysis to marketing, I felt like I was floating without direction. Ms. Ma helped me reflect deeply on what I value in a future job.
What stood out most was how thoughtfully she guided me to articulate not just what I don’t want, but what I do want in a career. Her warm, grounded coaching helped me reconnect with my values and visualize a path that feels both exciting and attainable. I walked away with more than just advice—I left with a mindset shift and a clearer framework for making future decisions.
If you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I highly recommend booking time with Connie. Her insight is equal parts practical and empowering.

Scheduling my 30-minute discovery call with Connie was the best thing I did before my senior year. In just 30 minutes, she was able to give me such clarity and a future methodology for making career decisions that most other career coaches would make you pay for.
I admire Connie's kindness and care for her students and think booking a Discovery Call could be beneficial for anyone!

Joining Ms. Ma's 2024 Career Camp was one of the best decisions I made over the summer. Even as a high schooler, Career Camp exposed me to the diverse opportunities outside of high school and taught me skills such as cold emailing, professional networking, and LinkedIn profile optimization.
Using these skills I learnt at Career Camp, I was able to find numerous opportunities and start my own organization with over 700 driven students. If you are looking for a personalized guide and a head start on exploring your professional career, Career Camp is the way to go!

I took Career Camp with Ms. Ma in the summer of 2022, and I am currently studying computer science at Princeton University. I had a great experience with this program. I really appreciated how Ms. Ma took a macro level approach to getting us to understand what we wanted to make of our own career exploration journey. She gave us actionable ways where we can find out whether the subject areas and topics we find conceptually interesting are also the ones that we find interesting in practice. So one way she did this was by inviting a panel of speakers to tell us about the day-to-day of what their jobs look like, and I found this to be extremely eye-opening.
I really appreciated the opportunity to conduct an informational interview with one of Ms. Ma's connections, an energy consultant, because sustainable energy is a field that I am possibly interested in pursuing. In my informational interview, I got to practice a lot of the skills that we were working on during the program, and learn a lot more.
Overall, I found working with Ms. Ma to be extremely beneficial, and an experience that I strongly recommend to high school students, particularly juniors and seniors.

The hardest part of going to college for me was learning how to be independent (mom isn’t doing laundry for me anymore!) and expanding my network in a foreign country from scratch!
Working with Ms. Ma through Career Camp has helped me immensely in recognizing this early and taking tangible steps to make sure I was prepared. The connections one can make in college are boundless. However, you also need to know how to find and utilize them. Having a heads-up from Career Camp about the importance of cold-emailing professors/researchers of interest (key point is what YOU ARE interested in) and how to do so has helped me quickly find my research home early in college.
My most memorable exercise in the Career Camp course was learning how to conduct an informational interview, which helped me learn more about research and what it takes to be an MD-PhD. Meeting with Dr. Hufnagel has been very fruitful as he has given me a ton of personal advice and how to achieve that goal if I wish to pursue a similar path. He is another wise and kind mentor that I can comfortably reach out to in the future!
I heavily recommend working with Ms. Ma because it is a no-pressure, hands-on way to learn vital career skills!
